lingual nerve การใช้

ประโยคมือถือ
  • It is suspended from the lingual nerve by two filaments, one anterior and one posterior.
  • It soon joins the pathway of the larger lingual nerve, a branch of the mandibular nerve.
  • The lingual nerve can also be damaged during otologic surgery, causing a feeling of metal taste.
  • Patients should be routinely warned about lingual nerve injuries prior to wisdom tooth and floor of mouth surgery.
  • It lies on the lateral side of the Genioglossus, the main large extrinsic tongue muscle, accompanied by the lingual nerve.
  • Through the posterior of these it receives a branch from the chorda tympani nerve which runs in the sheath of the lingual nerve.
  • Tissue damage to the nerves that support the tongue can cause ageusia, especially damage to the lingual nerve and the glossopharyngeal nerve.
  • The chorda tympani travels through the middle ear and attaches to the lingual nerve ( mandibular division of trigeminal, CN V 3 ).
  • Signals from muscle spindles on the tongue travel through the hypoglossal nerve, moving onto the lingual nerve which synapses on the mesencephalic nucleus.
  • After joining the lingual nerve, the preganglionic fibers synapse at the submandibular ganglion and send postganglionic fibers to the sublingual and submandibular salivary glands.
  • This nerve exits the skull through the Petrotympanic fissure and merges with the lingual nerve, after which it synapses with neurons in the submandibular ganglion.
  • Bayliss cut a new opening in the dog's neck to expose the lingual nerves of the salivary glands, which he attached to electrodes.
  • The lingual nerve passes taste for the front two-thirds of the tongue and the glossopharyngeal nerve passes taste for the back third of the tongue.
  • The benign tumors of the submandibular gland is treated by simple excision with preservation of mandibular branch of the trigeminal nerve, the hypoglossal nerve, and the lingual nerve.
  • The ganglion'hangs'by two nerve filaments from the lower border of the lingual nerve ( itself a branch of the mandibular nerve, CN V 3 ).
  • Note, posteriorly, the lingual nerve is superior to the submandibular duct and a portion of the submandibular salivary gland protrudes into the space between the hyoglossus and mylohyoid muscles.
  • It has been reported that electrical stimulation of the lingual nerve, chorda tympani, and a lingual branch of the glossopharyngeal nerve elicit evoked field potential in the frontal operculum.
  • The lingual nerve ( trigeminal, not shown in diagram ) is deeply interconnected with chorda tympani in that it provides all other sensory info from the T ! of the tongue.
  • Preganglionic parasympathetic fibers are also distributed partly via the chorda tympani and lingual nerves to the submandibular ganglion, thence by postganglionic ( vasodilator ) fibers to the submandibular gland and sublingual gland.
  • Incision of the plica itself can result in a ranula, or an incision placed medial to the plica can damage Wharton's duct, the sublingual artery and veins and the lingual nerve.
